Whenever I miss my mother, I head to the kitchen and I make one of her favorite recipes. There are a lot of things that she used to make me that I really enjoy baking up when I am bored. Her cheesecakes are one of the things she is known for. I can make them well, but they never taste quite like they do when she makes them. I really appreciate her cooking and baking skills and I do not think I can ever measure up. One caramel cheesecake that I made the other day was so delicious. I shared it with a friend who came over and she said that it tasted just like a mail order cheesecake that she bought from a professional company. I find this to be a rather flattering compliment since I want to be a commercial baker one day. I told my mom and she was proud.
